So the phone line has been active for 3 months. If our favorite asian kid is keeping up on his lessons, he should be able to tell us that’s 103 million ringgit a second!! Ultra confident math girl will tell us that’s $28 million US dollars a second! Hmmm… even asian math boy can tell us something is not right here.

The senators heard from investigators at the Government Accountability Office, who found mistakes in virtually every tax return filled out by commercial chain preparers. The investigators said they looked at a tiny number of tax returns, and that their conclusions could not be generalized to the rest of the tax preparation industry.

Am I crazy or should both the tax prepares and the investigator go back to school? One group can’t correctly file a tax return, yes taxes can be complex, but no one is asking these people to do it on the spot, can’t they use google if they have a question about a tax rule? The other claims they can’t draw conclusions about a larger data set from sampling a smaller set. Can’t they use google to look up basic statistical sampling.
